GOLF ROUNDUP: West's Behr earns medalist honors at region tourney

FLORENCE — West Florence’s Stephen Behr shot a 68 in the second round of the Region 6-4A tournament and earned medalist honors in the event.
Behr finished with a 9-under 133 and won the tournament by nine shots.
Sumter won the tournament by 11 strokes over the Knights, who qualified as a team for Class 4A state championship May 11-12 at Furman.
Hartsville’s Preston Dixon qualified for the state tournament.
