FLORENCE — Playing its last game of the season, Maranatha got five solid innings on the mound from Drew Weaver and key hits from Lory Rawlinson and Trey Scarlett to run-rule Sumter Christian.
Weaver went the distance. In five innings, he gave up four hits, walked three and struck out three. Two of Sumter’s runs were earned.
Rawlinson was 2-for-2 with three RBI, while Scarlett was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Maranatha, which ends its season at 1-6, will return all but one senior off its 11-man roster in 2010.

HARTSVILLE — J.T. Lambert allowed just two hits in five innings and had a pair of hits to help Emmanuel Christian beat Conway Christian in a state quarterfinal game.
Andrew Hall, who had two hits, including a double, pitched the final two innings to pick up the save.
Emmanuel Christian plays an opponent still to be determined in the semifinals on Friday.
