ANDERSON — In their final regular season Conference Carolinas match-up, the Coker Cobras baseball team was swept by Anderson on Saturday.

Coker fell to the Trojans 5-2 in the first game and 5-3 in the second. The losses drop the Cobras to 17-23 overall and 4-15 in the conference with just one game remaining in the regular season.

After being swept by Anderson, Coker finishes the Conference Carolinas regular season in eighth place, giving the Cobras the eighth seed entering the conference tournament next week.

But before Coker heads to Wilson, N.C., for the tournament, they still have to face rival Francis Marion on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Coker’s Tom J. New Field.

With their final regular season game, the Cobras will look to avenge their loss to the Patriots earlier this season, 4-2.
