LAKE VIEW — Allie Elvington had 12 kills and Chessie Miller had 11 to lead Lake View to a 3-1 win against Johnsonville on Monday in high school volleyball action.
The Wild Gators won by scores of 25-23, 25-23, 18-25 and 25-19.
Kristin Mendenhall added 10 kills and Amber Suggs had nine for Lake View. Morgan Wethington had 20 assists.

LATTA — Behind 22 aces, the Vikings swept Carvers Bay 25-12, 25-9, 25-19 in their Region 8-A opener.
Kate Allen led Latta with five aces and two assists. Ieshia Ford put down four kills and also served four aces.

SOCASTEE — Members from South Florence’s, West Florence’s and Wilson’s swim teams competed in the Socastee Invitational Swim Meet on Sept. 13.
Kelso Wright, Colleen Kennedy, Hannah Richey, and Brunson Laliberte earned consideration times for the upcoming S.C. State swim meet.
