GREENVILLE — West Florence freshman Stephen Behr fired a final-round 77 and earned all-state honors in the Class 4A golf championships.
Behr finished with a three-day total of 223, which was good for third place.
The Knights, who were second place after Monday finished sixth with a score of 941 but were just five shots behind second-place Gaffney.
“Stephen was a shining light and pulled us through,” West coach Jason Brewer said. “We basically had second place but let it slip away in the last few holes.
“It was disappointing but we had a great season.”
Dutch Fork won the tournament by 39 shots over Gaffney.
