Amanda Sparrow, received 2006 Award and is a junior of the Cheerleading Squad at Presbyterian College; Lauren Reddeck received 2008 All-Star Award and Laurie Godwin, who received awards two years in a row, 2001 and 2002, cheered for Francis Marion College. These Carolina Academy Cheerleaders received All-Star Awards from the Universal Cheerleading Association. Lauren Reddeck and Katherine Heath received invitations to try out for the UCA-Staff. South Carolina Independent School Association President’s Award is awarded to one cheerleader chosen from the entire camp who exceeds all aspects of cheerleading 100 percent of the time. Lauren Reddeck received the award at the year’s camp. The Carolina Academy Varsity and JV Cheerleading Squads attended the South Carolina Independent School Association Cheerleading Camp at Presbyterian College from June 4-7. Both squads received the Spirit Banana for the Most Spirited Squads at the camp. The Varsity Squad received first place in the Home Pom Dance Competition and were Camp Champions in the Extreme Routine. The JV Squad received third place in the Extreme Routine competition.
