Owen pitches FSL All-Star game

VIERA, Fla. — Former Francis Marion standout and Chesterfield native Dylan Owen pitched a scoreless inning of relief Saturday in the Florida State League All-Star game.
Owen, who pitches in high Class A for the Port St. Lucie Mets, came in the third inning and allowed one hit. He also struck out one but Owen’s East squad lost to the West 9-3.
It was Owen’s second straight apperance in an All-Star game. He was named to the New York Penn League All-Star game last year.
For the season, Owen is 4-4 with a 3.39 ERA in 13 starts. He has struck out 61 in 71 2/3 innings and only walked 17.
