Leggett looks for Clemson to improve

»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ The disappointment of Clemson's baseball season hasn't faded for coach Jack Leggett in the three weeks since it ended.

The Tigers ended a string of 21 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances — the past 14 under Leggett's leadership. They ended the season at 31-27-1. But Leggett sees some hope out for the future.

Leggett expects that with year's additional experience and the return of injured centerfielder Addison Johnson, Clemson should be improved in the rugged Atlantic Coast Conference next year.
