LEXINGTON — West Florence’s Stephen Behr fired an opening-day 68 and trails by two shots at the SCGA Junior Championship at Lexington Country Club.
Behr is tied with Hayden Garrett and they trail Thomas Bradshaw, who shot a 66, in the Boys 15-17 year-old division. Andrew Florio, Behr’s high school teammate, shot a 74.
In the Boys 13-14 division, Florence’s Will Pettigrew shot an 84 and trails leader Miller Capps by 14 shots. Hartsville’s Garrett Spivey shot an 87. Florence’s Brooks Dubose shot a 91.
The second round of stroke play will continue today. Then, the field will be cut to the low 24 and ties in the 13-14 division and the low 36 and ties for the boys 15-17.
