Eric Campbell's tie-breaking single and a short outing from a Braves reliever on a rehab stint paced the to a 4-3 victory Monday night at BB&T Coastal Field.

Atlanta Braves reliever Jeff Bennett started the night on a positive note as he breezed through the first inning before turning the ball over to Scott Diamond.

Bennett will make one more rehab-appearance on Wednesday night at BB&T Coastal Field. The Keys attacked Diamond right away in the second inning.

Brandon Tripp was hit by a pitch with one out. Then, a tapper in front of the plate moved Tripp into scoring position. He was brought home on a single by Billy Rowell to give the Keys a 1-0 edge. In the third frame, the Keys padded their lead as Brandon Snyder connected on his eighth home run of the season with Miguel Abreu aboard to give the Keys a 3-0 lead.

The Pelicans got one back in the bottom of the third. Jon Mark Owings led off with a broken-bat double down the left field line. Later in the inning, Willie Cabrera knocked an RBI single to score Owings to trim the lead to 3-1.

In the fifth inning, the Birds squared the game at 3-3. After Owings and Concepcion Rodriguez recorded outs, the Pelicans strung together four straight singles. Willie Cabrera and Eric Campbell recorded back-to-back RBI knocks to level the game.

The Pelicans plated the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Owings once again got aboard to start an inning with a single. He advanced to third on a groundout by Robert Marcial and a long fly ball to right by Cabrera. Then, Eric Campbell rocketed an infield single off the glove of Billy Rowell at third to score Owings.

Brett Butts slammed the door in the eighth and ninth innings. Butts did not surrender a hit nor a run in the final two frames. Pelicans reliever Lee Hyde made his debut with the Birds in 2008. He pitched a scoreless seventh inning to pick up the win. Keys starter Pedro Beato was saddled with the loss in 6.2 innings. He allowed nine hits and four runs.
