Princeton, TN- Hartsville native Jordan Lyles earned his first professional victory for the Greenville Astros in a 3-1 win over the Princeton Rays. The right hander worked five innings allowing five hits and a home run in his longest outing of the season.
Lyles’ seven strike outs ties his game high set against Johnson City just under a month ago. The seventeen year old was a supplemental first round pick of the Houston Astros selected 38th overall in June’s Major League Baseball Draft.
He now has 32 strikeouts in 26.1 innings pitched, with a 3.08 earned run average.
