Johnsonville High School Athletes Reach to Build Skills

Thirteen JHS athletes and their Coach Brian Morse traveled to Florence on Saturday, February 2, 2008 to participate in the Carolinas Hospital System Sports Reach competition. Six teams from Florence County Participated to earn trophies and prizes for their schools.

Students registered and weighed in at 8:30 a.m. and then began to participate in events that focused on strength, speed, flexibility, endurance, balance, team spirit, and coordination. At the end of the day each team participated in an obstacle course which seemed to be a favorite for many students. The day was filled with action, sportsmanship, and competition. JHS brought home the 3rd place trophy and t-shirts for all participates.

Students participating from JHS were: Rodrekas Edwards, Justin Lewis, Charlotte Hanna, E.J. Davis, Nicole Carraway, William Doctor, Rakeem Wilson, Ellen Stone, Latima Hannah, Erica Morris, Nick Singletary, Norman Singletary, and Kasee Hucks.
