Bottom line
The Tigers are coming off a magical postseason run which resulted in the Class 3A championship. Wilson, which finished third in the region, won all of its games away from Memorial Stadium.
And their is no reason the Tigers couldn’t make a return trip to the title game.
Wilson returns most of its skilled players including running back Anthony Green, WR Bivens Elliott and the quarterback tandem of Maliek McCall and Richard Cue.
The Tigers are surely talented but they must guard against all the extra attention and acolades that comes with winning a state title.
“We have great expectations ... and we are a more confident team,” Page said. “But they put it out their on the practice field every day.”
