Bottom line
Darryl King takes over for longtime coach Jewell McLaurin, who stepped down earlier this year and will remain as the school’s athletic director.
But don’t expect much to change with King in charge. The Wild Gators will use their bruising powerful running game led by Quandon Christian, who verbally committed to Clemson.
Senior Paul Thompson is back and is one of the most verstaile players in the Pee Dee. Look for the Wild Gators to make another deep run in the playoffs.
“We got a school and town who love their football and expect you to win,” King said. “We are just going to work hard every day and make the best of it.”
