CLEMSON - Fans sprinted through the gates as if they were storming the field at Memorial Stadium for Clemson’s Fan Appreciation Day.

The two hour autograph and photo session featured the whole football team, including the coaching staff.

Freshmen Jaron Brown of Cheraw and Loris’s Jonathon Williard were smiling ear to ear for their first opportunity to put their signature down in a Tigers jersey.

The two are likely to red shirt this season for the ACC preseason favorites.

Comments about the high expectations upon the Tigers were everywhere and neatly brushed aside by Coach Tommy Bowden.

“I’m just focusing on Alabama and practice on Monday, and I hope that’s what the fans want me to be focusing on,” said Bowden.

News 13 Sports Director Matt Lincoln will have more Monday from Clemson coming on News 13 at 6 pm.
