Rain can’t stop races

The Dillon Motor Speedway was the place to be this past weekend for the Pepsi 250. With record-breaking speeds of approximately 140 mph and roaring engines, the USCS Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars provided thrills throughout the grandstands this past Saturday.
When these Sprint Cars have toured to Dillon in the past, they brought not only record lap times around Dillon Motor Speedway, but they also brought record grandstand attendance. This past Saturday began with another battle between the weather and Dillon Motor Speedway. After an hour of rain, Dillon Motor Speedway won the battle and was able to dry the track in enough time for some great racing from the NAPA Street Stocks, Palmetto Auto Auction Charger, DMS Four-Cylinders, Seneca Super Trucks and the Allison Legacy Series.
The first racing event occurred between the NAPA Street Stocks and was it ever a smoking, hot race. The #1 car of Randy Hall was king of the Street Stocks last Saturday taking the checkered flag of the event.
However, Barry Flowers and Marshall Jones (Dillon) were just bumpers apart finishing in second and third places respectively. Will Haynie had a solid performance finishing in fourth, followed by the #87 car driven by Chris Womack who completed the “top five.”
