The Francis Marion men’s basketball team will play its final home game of the calendar year today, when the Patriots entertain Morris College.
Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Smith University Center. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for
students.
The game will be broadcast on 100.1 FM, the first of a seven regular-season matchups to be carried on the station.
The FMU men are 3-1 after suffering their first loss last Saturday night against Newberry College.
Junior guard Houston Power leads four players averaging in double figures with a 12.5 points per game average. Junior center Kevin Clark (11.8 ppg), junior forward Sam Smith (11.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and junior swingman Ziyadah Carter (10.5 ppg) also are scoring in double digits.
FMU leads the series with Morris 17-10, although the teams have met only once in the past 18 seasons, a 78-65 FMU win last year in Florence.
Both the FMU men and women will open Peach Belt Conference play Saturday afternoon at North Georgia College & State.
