CLEMSON (AP) _ Clemson coach Tommy Bowden has agreed to a contract extension amid published reports that he was talking with Arkansas officials about its coaching vacancy.
"I'm very pleased with the contract extension agreement that we reached today," Bowden said in a university release issued Tuesday.
Details of the contract extension were not immediately available, according to the release.
Bowden has a 69-41 record in nine seasons at Clemson.
The Tigers (9-3) will play Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Bowl Dec 31.
