Patricia is the anchor of the weekend newscasts at six and eleven. She also reports across the Pee Dee three days a week. She began working with WBTW as a one-man-band reporter on the weekends in 2004. Since then, she's covered everything from tropical storms to high-profile court cases and her stories even made a couple of appearances on network news. In 2007, Patricia began working on the Pee Dee Heroes franchise, which spotlights a different person each month who makes a great contribution to the Pee Dee.
Patricia began her broadcasting career as a news anchor for ETV Radio, which is the state's National Public Radio affiliate. While at ETV Radio, Patricia also became a master control operator and produced and hosted her own classical music show.
Patricia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. She obtained a minor in English.
Following her graduation from U.S.C., Patricia was given the Outstanding Electronic Journalism Senior Award for Reporting.
Patricia also won a William Randolph Hearst Award for feature reporting and placed in the Mark of Excellence Awards by the Society of Professional Journalists.
Outside of work, Patricia is still an avid news-junkie, but also enjoys spending time outdoors, working on projects around the house, making occasional trips to Charleston and spending time with her family here in the area, as well as her extended family across the state.
