Matt Lincoln joined the News13 Sports Department in March of 2007 as the Weekend Anchor/Weekday Reporter. He was promoted to Sports Director in April of 2007.

Matt won the 2007 South Carolina Associated Press Award for "Best Sports Reporting" for his coverage of Dale Earnhardt Jr. leaving DEI during Darlington week.

Before coming to WBTW, he worked at KTVE in Monroe, LA where he covered Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, LSU and Grambling athletics. Matt also spent his days clay shooting, fishing and eating crawfish.

Matt's originally from Southeastern Massachusetts and attended the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In Central New York, Matt performed play-by-play for Syracuse University football, men's & women's basketball, and men's and women's lacrosse, plus Syracuse Skychiefs AAA baseball and minor league soccer.
