Email: cstill@wbtw.com

Chris joined the Storm Tracker 13 Weather Team in June 2005. He began his career at News 13 as Weekend Meteorologist, but was promoted to Morning and Noon Meteorologist in May 2007. He comes to us from the CBS affiliate in Macon, Georgia where he worked for 5 years. Chris holds Seals of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.

He holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Florida State University, a school known for its research in tropical meteorology. Chris brings News13 more than a decade of weather forecasting experience and has a diverse background in meteorology. Before getting into television full time, he worked several years as an Air Pollution Meteorologist for the State of Alabama's Department of Environmental Management. There, Chris issued air quality forecasts for the Birmingham and Mobile areas.

As odd as it may sound, Chris's favorite hobby is weather. What to do for a living was never a decision for Chris. He knew when he was just 10 years old that he wanted to be a meteorologist. Although he grew up in the Atlanta suburb of Austell, where snow is rare, but close calls with it are not, it was forecasting snow that first sparked his interest in meteorology. See, Chris had perfect attendance in school for 12 years, so "snow days" were a rare opportunity to get a day off from school.

Chris's other hobbies include, but are not limited to, following Florida State sports, playing tennis, and whatever home improvement project he can get his hands on. Chris has two pets: a cat name Winnie and a dove named Dovey, no joke. Chris's cat caught Winnie, but long before Winnie's time. At 24 years old, Dovey could be one of the oldest doves in the world. Chris says Winnie and Dovey actually get along just fine.
