Snaden sets world mark

INDIANAPOLIS — Florence’s Lillian Snaden set a new world record in the weight throw and won the discus and hammer throws at the USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships held last week at The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wisc.
Snaden, who competed unattatched in the women’s 80-year-old division, threw 41.15 meters to win the discu, 11.11m to win the hammer throw, and 6.92m to win the weight throw and seized a new world record in her age division.
