Marion recreation football needs coaches

Frank Page, with the City of Marion Recreation Department, has great news and a great need.

This year, more children have signed up for football than we’ve had in the past few years and we need more coaches. It is not necessary to have an extensive knowledge of football to coach.

More importantly, the city needs coaches who can teach fundamental skills and who are willing to have a positive impact on the city’s youth. Ages involved in the program are 8-10 and 13-14.

The recreation programs also need sponsors. Sponsorships are $200 for football and $125 for soccer and each covers team uniforms.
