Tech softball sweeps Southeastern

FLORENCE — L.A. Markham and Kayla Boles combined to allow three hits as the Florence-Darlington Tech softball team shut out Southeastern Community College in a doubleheader sweep Friday 9-0, 17-0.
Markham and Boles each struck out four in five innings to pick up the wins.
The Stingers pounded out 22 combined hits. In game one, Boles was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI while Blair Warren went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In game two, Jessica Hogan went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two doubles and a triple. Brittany Garren was 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBI while Bridget Carter went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Tech (22-10, 11-5) hosts Surry Community College today in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
