Red Foxes to ‘Go Pink’ tonight
CHAD RHOAD/ THE MESSENGER
Managers and members of the Red Fox basketball teams sport their pink shooting shirts for the Pink Zone to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Hartsville High School will be participating again this year in the WBCA Pink Zone, formerly known as “Think Pink,“ to raise awareness for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
This is in partnership with the V Foundation. HHS will have a “Pink Out” Friday, Feb. 13, for breast cancer awareness and will be collecting donations for this very worthy cause.
Students at HHS have had a competition with paper links and sold baked goods and ribbons to raise money for the cancer fund.
The Foxes will have Wilson pink basketballs for warm-up, and the girls’ and boys’ teams will be wearing pink shooting shirts.
The girls basketball team will also be wearing pink uniforms by Russell Athletics, the official provider of the WBCA Pink Zone
apparel.
This is a very important cause for HHS because of the recent loss of Franette Campbell, a former Lady Red Fox, to cancer.
Everyone is asked to wear pink to the game to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
