Lake View’s Waters signs with Saints

The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent linebacker and Lake View native Anthony Waters.

Waters, who is entering his third season, spent two years in San Diego after being selected by the Chargers in the third round of the 2007 draft.

Saints general manager Mickey Loomis did not disclose terms of the agreement.

The 6-foot-3, 238-pound linebacker played in seven regular-season games, making three tackles on defense and three stops and a fumble recovery on special teams. The former Clemson standout also played in one postseason game, recording a tackle.
