David Thompson led NC State to the national championship in 1974—moving his school and his conference to the head of the college basketball world at a time when UCLA was a dynasty.
Thompson was at Phillips’ Buffet on the bypass Friday to help promote the Salvation Army/Boys and Girls Club Annual 3 on 3 Streetball Tournament – News13 is a sponsor.
