Recruiting heats up for Mullins basketball prodigy Eric Smith
Both USC new head coach Darrin Horn and Clemson coach Oliver Purnell paid a visit to Smith at Mullins High School this past Tuesday. The two coaches got a good look at Smith while he displayed his shooting and ball handling skills.
Aucs All-Star Andrew Crawford signs with Spartanburg Methodist College
Mullins Auctioneer All-Star and Class 2A state player of the year Andrew Crawford has decided to take his skills to Spartanburg Methodist College next season after signing with the school this past Friday.
Swamp Fox lineman Aaron Taylor signs with Presbyterian College
Marion Swamp Fox offensive lineman Aaron Taylor will be joining the Blue Hose football team this fall after signing a letter of intent to play at Presbyterian College this past Thusday.

Baseball playoff game set for this afternoon
Pee Dee Academy's Wes Daniels and Hugh Collins have turned things around and have the dust flying later into the softball and baseball seasons. Today, the baseball team faces Dorchester in a playoff game in Mullins.

Close shave: Mullins wins by a hair
Coach Mark Gerald and the 21-0 Mullins Auctioneers have cruised through their fair share of games, however, this past Wednesday’s first round game at home against Cheraw nearly sank the mighty Aucs ship. Down five points in the final six minutes of the game, the two contenders struck with eight lead-changes during the span, as Mullins escaped with a 58-57 victory.
