Lake City wins first-round playoff game
Lake City High School’s ground attack steamrolled Battery Creek with 395 yards and a 46-12 win in the first round of the 3A lower state playoffs Friday.
The Panthers will travel to West Columbia this Friday to take on the undefeated Airport High School Eagles.

Getting to play at Williams-Brice Stadium might be something new for many of the South Carolina State football team but not for Markee Hamlin. The former Lamar standout played on S.C. State’s team when they faced USC in 2007 and was on the field three times when the Silver Foxes won three straight Class A championships from 2002-04.

Wife wants Haynesworth to pay bills, stay away
Albert Haynesworth’s wife is asking a Tennessee judge to force the Washington defensive tackle to pay veterinary bills, his daughter’s tuition and other family expenses dating back to when she filed for divorce in April 2008. She also wants a restraining order against him.
