Southern 500 tickets go on sale Saturday

DARLINGTON — Tickets for the 2010 Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway go on-sale to the public Saturday.

The famed 500-mile race will once again take place on Saturday night of Mother’s Day weekend and will be preceded by the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 on Friday evening.

More than 40,000 tickets for the Southern 500 will be reduced with ticket prices starting as low as $35.

“We really want to make attending the 2010 Southern 500 as economical as we could for all of our fans and reducing our prices achieves that goal,” said Darlington Raceway President Chris Browning. “Darlington Raceway is the most unique track on the Sprint Cup schedule and being able to come and watch a Cup race for only $35 is a great value.”
