Phantoms win sixth straight

BALTIMORE — Quarterback Omar Jacobs threw for seven touchdowns and ran for another as the Florence Phantoms defeated the Baltimore Mariners 58-51 on Friday.
The win was the Phantoms’ sixth straight and gave them a half-game lead over Columbus in the AIFA South Division. Columbus plays tonight at Fayetteville.
Jacobs has thrown 17 TD passes in the last three games for Florence.
Florence will return home Friday against Reading. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
