Phantoms stifle Carolina

CONCORD, N.C. — The Florence defense recorded five and a half sacks, four batted passes and five stops to lead the Phantoms to a 55-35 win against Carolina on Saturday.
The win keeps the Phantoms in contention for the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Backup quarterback Aso Pogi rushed for two touchdowns, as did Jonathan Wedlock.
Reggie Glover caught a TD pass as Florence built a 21-9 halftime lead and rolled from there. The Phantoms led 47-21 at the end of three quarters.
