FLORENCE — For the first time this season, the Florence Phantoms have lost two straight games.

The Carolina Speed handed the Phantoms a 56-21 loss Saturday at the Florence Civic Center.

The 21 points were a season-low for Florence, which fell a game behind Columbus in the AIFA South Division standings. The previous low was 29 in the Phantoms’ opener, a 37-29 loss to Carolina.

Florence has a bye this week and will travel to Columbus on May 30. The Phantoms will play four of their final five games on the road. The lone home game will be June 13 against South Carolina.
