ERIE, Pa. — Quarterback Kevin Mason threw for three touchdowns as the Erie River Rats defeated the Florence Phantoms 60-20 in the season finale for both teams.
Florence (6-8) finishes the season with seven consecutive losses a year after winning the AIFA Championship.
The win snaps a five-game losing streak for Erie (3-11).
Darlington’s Dusten Dubose and Florence’s Torrey Pettigrew each caught touchdown passes from Rich Curtis in the loss.
Curtis finished with 130 yards passing but was intercepted five times.
