Pelicans partner with Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society for kids night
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ Kids Eat Free and Dollar Hot Dogs promotional nights are coming back.
In a press release from the Pelicans, the club today announced it will offer both special opportunities to fans again during the month of July.
Dollar Hot Dog Night will return on Tuesday, July 7 when the Pelicans open a three-game mid-week series with the Potomac Nationals. Hot dogs, which are regularly priced at a very reasonable $2.75, will cost just one dollar all game long. The series opener with Potomac will mark the third time this season dollar hot dogs have been available to fans.
On Monday, July 20, kids ages 12 and under will again be able to eat for free at BB&T Coastal Field thanks to the Pelicans’ partnership with Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society. As all kids 12 and under enter the gates, they will receive a voucher good for a hot dog, bag of chips and a small soft drink.
The Pelicans previously offered dollar hot dogs during the first homestand of the season and followed the first Kids Eat Free Night of the year on June 15 with another Dollar Hot Dog Night on June 16. The two June dates helped contribute to a six-date homestand that registered the largest attendance figures of any such homestand in franchise history.
“Our fans responded in a remarkable fashion to our first offerings of these promotions this year. In these tough economic times, we wanted to continue with special events to help in keeping with our reputation as the Grand Strand’s best and most affordable family entertainment option,” said Pelicans General Manager North Johnson. “Our teaming with Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society is the perfect partnership considering their involvement in youth programs during the summer. Because of the way our fans responded to our previous promotions, we wanted to offer these specials again in July.”
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to assure preferred seating for these nights as tickets could be at a premium for both games. Tickets start at just $7 and can be purchased by calling the Pelicans box office at (843) 918-6000 or logging onto MyrtleBeachPelicans.com.
