PREP SOFTBALL: Bruins, Flashes move on to lower state title games
FLORENCE — Kaiti Harper pitched a complete game and Jasmyn Holliday was 2-for-3 with an RBI as South Florence earned a berth into Friday’s lower state championship game with a 3-1 win Monday over Stratford.
South Florence, now 25-1, will host the winner of Wednesday’s game between White Knoll and Stratford. Friday’s game time is 5:30 p.m.
In her seven innings, Harper gave up five hits and struck out two.

Johnsonville 3, Lake View 2
JOHNSONVILLE — Taylor Bennett scored the winning run from second base when Rachel Gaster’s grounder went under the Lake View third baseman’s glove for an error, pushing the Flashes into Friday’s Class A lower state championship game.
Gaster went all seven innings from the circle to get the win, and Bennett was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
