Prep Roundup: Trinity Collegiate soccer wins easily

DARLINGTON — Molly Jones had six goals and Mary Stuart Jernigan made nine saves as Trinity Collegiate cruised to a 9-0 win over Patrick Henry in a first-round playoff game Tuesday.

Rebecca Leviner had two goals and three assists for the Titans, who improve to 14-2.

Christ Church wins Class A state golf title
JOHNSONVILLE — Christ Church won the Class A state golf championship with a two-day team total of 635.

Chesterfield finished eighth and host Johnsonville was 12th out of 18 teams. Lamar finished 17th while Hannah-Pamplico was 18th.

Individual medalist honors went to Buford’s Trevor Banks (145). Academic Magnet’s Alan McLeod (148) was next and Williston-Elko’s John Melton (150) was third.
