The Lake City High School Panthers spent their afternoons this past week preparing for their upcoming fall season with practice at Ward Memorial Stadium. Although it was hot and humid, it didn’t keep the energetic Panthers from strapping on their pads and hitting the field for practice. Lake City High School Varsity Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director Justin Gentry recently said the team is young but seasoned. Gentry said team players are more athletic this year and have worked hard in the weight room during the summer. New assistant coaches joining Gentry to take the Panthers to the next level are Jim Rowell, Jamison Estep, Brandon Shealy and Terrence McClary.
