Aynor Football Preview

The Blue Jackets have installed a different offensive philosophy for 2008 - one that they hope can lead them to more than two victories.

Aynor lost most of its speed from 2007, so Jody Jenerette has closed his throw-it-down-the-field playbook, and opened a new one that includes three things - running, running and more running.  Jenerette is hoping his team’s experience at fullback and offensive line will help his team pound the ball and eat up clock to help them stay in games.

That being said, they do have one star on the wings.  Nick Asbury learned from the tutelage of current CCU Chanticleer Will Chandler and showed a glimpse of what he can do in Friday’s scrimmage against Socastee - taking a screen 70 yards to the house. 

But Jenerette knows his team is not quick enough to run with region foes Dillon and Cheraw.  So they hope they can be tough enough to hang with them in the trenches.
