HEMINGWAY — Jazjuan Wilson scored 15 points and Tashan Frederick added 13 as Hemingway advanced to the third round of the Class A boys basketball playoffs with a 90-64 win over Estill on Friday.
The Tigers will face a familiar foe in C.E. Murray. Hemingway won the season series against the War Eagles 2-1.
“It’s a county rivalry and should be a great game,” Hemingway coach Barry McFadden said. “We have to come ready to play every night and this game will be no different.”

TIMMONSVILLE — Jonathan Jones poured in a game-high 30 points as Timmonsville cruised to a big win in the second round of the Class A playoffs.
Oshwand Scott added 16 for the Whirlwinds followed by Antonio McAllister with 12.

MARION — Genieka Brantley scored 24 points and pulled down 18 boards as the Swamp Foxes overcame the absence of Candace Wright, who had the flu, to advance to the third round of the Class 2A playoffs.
Shaquita Taylor also added 19 points.
“My kids stuck in there the whole time and we had some kids down with the flu,” Marion coach Leon Sturkey said. “I was extremely proud of them.”

AIKEN — The Hornets took the lead in the final minute and were able to hold Hartsville off.
Jasmine Phillips led the Red Foxes with 26 points, 15 rebounds, five steals and four blocks. Emily Jackson added 10 for Hartsville.
Lexy Williams led Aiken with 17 points.

SUMTER — Katelyn Browne’s double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds helped defending Class 2A state champion Pee Dee earn a first-round win.
C.C. Causey nearly had another double-double for the Eagles, finishing with 14 points and nine rebounds.
