PREP ROUNDUP: Bears’ Taylor moves past 1,000 points for career
LAKE VIEW — Alexis Taylor scored 22 points and went past the 1,000-point mark for her career and Carvers Bay held off Lake View in overtime 40-39 on Tuesday in high school girls basketball.
Thompson also grabbed nine rebounds and had three blocked shots to help the Bears.
The game was stopped momentarily and Taylor was presented the game ball.
Lake View’s Jaquana Davis logged her second straight double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down 20 rebounds.
The game was tied 32-32 after regulation.
