Felton signs one year deal to stay in Charlotte
Raymond Felton did not get all that he wanted, but he has decided to stay in Charlotte. The Latta product signed the Bobcats’s one-year, $5.5 million qualifying offer on Wednesday after the restricted free agent was unable to come to teams on a long-term contract.

Two of the best prep basketball players in the Pee Dee have decided to leave the state for their senior years. Mullins’ Eric Smith and Wilson’s Trevonte Dixon have both enrolled at Christ School, a private boarding school outside of Asheville with a national powerhouse basketball program.

Crevier to appear at Moore’s camp
Tanyia Crevier, known as the “World’s Greatest Female Basketball Handler” will be a guest Monday at the Pearl Moore Basketball Camp at Wilson High School.
Crevier has traveled all around the country performing at NBA and WNBA halftime shows as well as NBA All Star games and the NBA finals.

The summer can be a college basketball coach’s busiest season. Recruiting takes the coaches from one side of the country to the other. This weekend, many coaches from all across that nation will converge on the Grand Strand for the two-day Big Shots AAU tourneys.
Darlington’s James headed to USC Salkahatchie
Darlington’s Donnie James fullfilled a life-long dream Thursday by signing with USC Salkahatchie to play college basketball. James averaged 19 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Falcons last season after coming back from a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup in 2007.

Wilson’s Alan-Michael Thompson will get a chance to continue his basketball career. The senior signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play at Brunswick Community College with hopes of landing a spot at a Division I or II school when his two years are up.
