North Myrtle Beach High School’s Tripp Faulk was selected by the Atlanta Braves in round 38 of the Major League Baseball First Year Players Draft.  Faulk is a 6’1” 170lb outfielder. He played for the Chiefs for five years and signed to play at Wingate University.

Faulk was the 1138th overall pick in the draft.

He’s playing in the North/South All-Star Baseball Game on the Grand Strand this weekend.  Faulk is the second Grand Strand native to be taken by the Braves.  On day two, Atlanta selected Aynor native David Berryhill in the fifth round.
