JOHNSONVILLE - JHS held its 43rd annual Athletic Banquet on Thursday, May 28th. Top honors went to Brock Cooper – Top Male Athlete; and Latima Hannah – Top Female Athlete. The Senior Academic Award for the athlete with the highest GPA went to Kellie White. Jamie Munnerlyn received the Charles Graham award. Individual sport awards were as follows:
VOLLEYBALL: Coaches’ Award – Latima Hannah; MVP – Morgan Owens; 3-D – Rachel Cribb; Most Improved – Olivia Hatchell.
TENNIS: 3-D – Caroline Cockfield; Sportsmanship – Madison Capps; MVP – Rachel Gaster.
JV FOOTBALL: Most Improved – Dillion Fennell; Defensive MVP – Rico Waterman; 3-D – Austin Williams; Offensive MVP – Kendrick Williams.
VARSITY FOOTBALL: Best Offensive Back – Jazz Burgess; MVP/High Defensive Points – Jamie Munnerlyn; Specialist Award – Brock Cooper; Coaches’ Award – Caleb Prevatte; Iron Man – Brian Thompson; Best Lineman – Jon Curtis Powell.
GIRLS’ JV BASKETBALL: CO- MVP: Quintella Dollard & Keyarah Turner; Most Dependable – Shane Mack; Sportsmanship – Machala Weaver; Most Improved – Brittany Linen; Coaches’ Award – Myesha Jones.
BOYS’ JV BASKETBALL: Coaches’ Award - Zak Kidd; 3-D Award: Rakeem Wilson; Best Defensive Player – Rico Waterman; Best Offensive Player – Kendrick Williams.
