South Carolina’s Holmes out with eye injury

Darrin Horn is not giving thanks for the shape his starting power forward is in coming off of Thanksgiving break.

Lee Central product Mike Holmes has an eye injury that will keep him out indefinitely.  Horn says that the injury will require surgery.  Horn says the injury occurred sometime when Holmes was away from campus on holiday break.

Holmes is third on the team with 15 points a game, and second with 5 rebounds per game.  He trails Dominique Archie in both categories, another player that USC has lost with an injury.

The Gamecocks will play their first game without both players against Horn’s old team, Western Kentucky.
