Gamecock Club meeting set for Thursday

The Pee Dee Gamecock Club will hold their annual spring meeting Thursday at Florence Civic Center. South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier, USC basketball coach Darrin Horn, Gamecock cheerleaders and dance team as well as Cocky will be in attendance.

Downey to test NBA draft waters

South Carolina junior point guard Devan Downey has announced today that he will submit his name for the pool for the 2009 NBA Draft. Downey will not hire an agent, leaving open the opportunity to return to the Gamecocks for his senior season.
