USC NOTEBOOK: Spurrier wary of Tebow
In facing No.18 Florida on Saturday, South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said the Gamecocks will be up against possibly the most balanced offense in the Southeastern Conference. It makes sense, considering Gator quarterback Tim Tebow displays equal ability in running and passing.
Spurrier: Morale is fine
Steve Spurrier says he doesn?t listen to caller-driven sports radio shows. If he did, or if he bothered to read some message boards on the Internet, he?d see a faction of South Carolina fans who have taken on a ?Chicken Little? outlook in the wake of the Gamecocks? three-game losing streak ? the sky, evidently, is falling.

McFadden runs for 323; Arkansas beats USC 48-36
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Welcome back to the Heisman Trophy race, Darren McFadden. In what might have been his final game in Fayetteville, McFadden ran for an SEC-record 323 yards Saturday night, helping Arkansas to a 48-36 win over No. 23 South Carolina.

Gray, Muldrow and Holmes ready to make impact with Gamecocks
South Carolina doesn?t play a basketball game until its exhibition Monday against Guilford. Freshman forward Mike Holmes, though, has already made quite an impression ? at least on one of his teammates.
