FLORENCE — Adam Hart sizzled on the first day of PGA Tour qualifying, and the second day was hardly any worse.

Hart, a former member of the Francis Marion golf team from Blythewood, fired a 7-under 63 and is in command at 15-under at Florence Country Club after the second round of Q-school.

Hart, who shot 62 in Wednesday’s first round, leads Jonathan Fricke of Covington, Ga., by five strokes heading into today’s third round.

The top 21 and ties qualify for the second round of Q-school. Round four is scheduled for Saturday.

Florence’s Gregg Jones is tied for 20th with six other players after following his opening-round 70 with a 68.
