Coker’s Ambler earns honor

HARTSVILLE — The Heritage Community Financial Services Athlete of the Month for December is Coker men’s basketball player Mason Ambler.

Ambler led the Cobras to a 1-1 record in the month with a win over Florida Christian College to end the semester.

In the 85-73 win over the Suns on Dec. 15, Mason recorded his first double-double of the season pounding home 19 points, while pulling down 15 rebounds. For the year, Ambler is averaging 14.6 points per game.
