Coker volleyball loses eighth straight

HARTSVILLE — The Coker volleyball team dropped their eighth straight Conference Carolinas match, falling in straight sets to Barton College 3-0 (25-18, 25-12 and 25-15).

The loss drops Coker to 1-16 overall and 0-8 in the conference, while Barton improves to 7-10 overall and 4-3 in the conference.

Coker jumped out to early leads in both the first and third sets, but each time the Lady Bulldogs battled their way back, taking advantage of Lady Cobra’s errors and timely kills.

Leading the Coker offense was Cynallyhia Indriago with eight kills, while Molly Bookhart and Paige Murray (led the defense with nine digs apiece. Abby Frame had 13 assists and Bookhart had 10.
